DECLARATION BY CANDIDATE - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING UP for an exam
1. I understand that the exam fee and registration fees are non-refundable. I understand that within 30 days
of my exam date no changes can be made.
2. It is the candidate’s responsibility to check that their names and details are correct on the confirmation of enrollment, and
identical as they appear on their passport. The same details will appear on the diploma.
3. Once set, the schedule of oral examination dates and times may not be altered.
4. Candidates should arrive at the time indicated on the notification of examination timetable, which they will be receiving by email 10
days before the exam date, and wait in the library after having checked in at the reception desk until the teacher or the
coordinator drive them to the examination class. Late arrivals will NOT be accommodated.
5. There may be a long gap between a candidate’s written and oral examinations. We do our best to schedule oral examination on the
same day, but depending on the number of candidates and examiners' availability sometimes it's just not possible, or not possible to fit
all candidates on the same day. Some oral examinations are scheduled the week before, during the same week or the week after
the written part. When same day oral examination is available but to a limited number of candidates, priority will be given in this order:
- Disabled / Pregnant
- Out of state candidates with proof of travel (hotel booking, plane ticket, bus ticket) for oral examination on the same
- Minors
I understand that my oral examination may be recorded and may not be scheduled on the same day as my written examination.
6. Candidates will be required to bring official a valid proof of identity on their examination day and the notification of examination
timetable. Only passports, national ID cards and photo drivers licenses will be accepted. Failure to produce one of the above mentioned IDs
will deny candidates access to the examination room without refund.
7. Results are due four to eight weeks after the examination day. Candidates will be informed by email when the results are published.
No scores will be given by phone to candidates. Results are published under the candidate number, please keep it on hand after the exam
to access your results.
8. The Official Diploma must be collected by the candidate at the examination centre within 4 weeks of notification and with official
proof of identity. Diplomas can be sent by certified mail only upon request, and if the candidate has paid the additional charge for
shipping.
9. A registration is only complete once you have paid the exam fee AND registration fee, AND filled out the DELF/DALF
registration form.
10. I understand that exam dates may be subject to alterations or cancellations in cases of force majeure. Due to insufficient number of
candidates or other unforeseen circumstances, the Alliance Française de San Francisco reserves the right to cancel the exam.
