Unit 4 : Organisez une sortie (plan an outing)

Grammar : C’est VS il y a, the prépositions of place, the verb “to go”, the imperative, the moments of the day, the verb “faire” and “finir”.

Let's practice your spoken skills ! Here, let's focus on your conversation. 


In this Beginner Conversation class, we will talk about la Francophonie, French culture, news, hobbies, and art based on articles and videos and your own experiences. 


This class will provide you with various opportunities for expression -  from the general classroom setting through small-group discussions and oral reports. You will learn how to give your opinion and to speak naturally and freely, becoming more confident and comfortable in any conversation in French !

Beginner Conversation (A1-3 and above) (cycle b) (7-weeks)

7-week Conversation Class

*This is not a class for complete beginners. Please have completed  level A1-3 with us or elsewhere before registering for this class.

This class aims to help students acquire elementary knowledge about the French language and create a functioning vocabulary. Have you acquired some basic French, but can’t seem to figure out how to actually speak? This course is for you! This course focuses on YOU talking as much as possible. The teacher will help you facilitate your speech, with pronunciation and grammar corrections as needed.


This 8 hours course will cover: 
Week 1 and 2 : Le travail! What do you do ? What do others do ? Talk and describe your work in beginner conversations
Week 3 and 4 : Le logement. You will be talking about different kinds of accommodation that you may find in France or around the world.
Week 5 and 6 :  Au restaurant ! We’ll go over food preferences and how to order at a restaurant in France
Week 7 and 8 : Les vacances! Where do you go for the vacation ? What kind of activities do you do ? We will go over all of that together

Each conversation topic goes with necessary grammar material that corresponds to the A1 level requirements.

What materials will I need?No books are required, the teacher will provide all the materials you need.

Note: You don't need to enroll in a particular order to conversation cycles. You can start with any cycle corresponding to your level without any particular order.  

We also often offer the same conversation class (same level and cycle) online and/ or onsite several times during the week for a same session. If this is the case this session, you can easily switch to another class if you are unable to make it for your regular class.

This fun class aims to help students acquire elementary knowledge about the French language and create a functioning vocabulary.
Have you acquired some basics in French, but can’t seem to figure out how to actually speak? This course is for you! *This course focuses on YOU talking as much as possible. You will be discussing with your classmates, your teachers and overcome your difficulties !

The teacher will help you facilitate your speech, with pronunciation and grammar corrections when needed.

This 8 hours course will cover: 

Week 1 and 2 : Talk about yourself and your family. Describe who you are and who are the close persons in your life

Week 3 and 4 : Discuss your daily activities and your routine, ask / tell the time, work around numbers

As you know reading is one of the best tools to improve your language skills. In this course you will discover the pleasure of reading in French. We will work on an easy French novel. During this session we will read the book together page by page, discuss new vocabularies, slight review of some grammaire points if necessary, debate about the characters of the book and their decisions.
