Petit pays (Small Country: An African Childhood in English) is a touching movie set during the conflict in Rwanda between ethnicities Hutu and Tutsi - adapted from the book of Gaël Faye. It was nominated for the Cesar Awards in the following category: Best Adapted Screenplay.
Synopsis: Ten-year-old Gabriel lives in a small country surrounded by great conflict. His childhood in Burundi is
carefree and adventurous, despite the troubles of the world, but when unrest escalates in neighbouring Rwanda, Gabriel's life is changed
forever.
