Thursday July 9, 2026 | 6:00 PM

Alliance Française of San Francisco, 1345 Bush St, San Francisco, CA 94109

Join us for a recital and commentary with Arthur Dente, a remarkable guitarist and composer visiting from France, whose work reimagines the possibilities of the classical guitar. Through performance and discussion, he will guide the audience into his creative process, offering insight into the musical language he has developed. This event is in French and English.

Reimagining Musical Language Through Cultural Dialogue

Driven by a deep commitment to cultural dialogue, Arthur Dente seeks to create a contemporary musical language that brings together the richness of the world’s traditions. Drawing inspiration from oral musical practices across cultures, his compositions are both innovative and meticulously notated, preserving and transmitting complex techniques while opening new artistic horizons. His work reflects a lifelong pursuit: crafting a coherent, expressive, and universally resonant musical voice.
