During each class, you will start with "Quoi de neuf?", a great time to connect with other students and talk in French.
You will then read short texts from a variety of important French literary authors and well-known writers from the francophone world. You will be introduced to the rich literary tradition of France such as Guy de Maupassant, Alphonse Daudet, Emile Zola, André Theuriet and more.
Studying a variety of texts will give you an opportunity to improve your grammar and learn new vocabulary and language structures. By the time you reach the end of this session you will be pleased to find that your reading skills have greatly improved. This class will provide you opportunity for expression through general classroom and small-group discussions and oral reports.

Vous commencerez par un "Quoi de neuf?" rapide par personne, pour connecter entre les étudiants, partager des nouvelles, échanger sur ce qui vous a marqué pendant la semaine (pas de discussion sur les polémiques sur la politique américaine, ni de discussions sur la Covid).
Vous continuerez le cours avec un point de grammaire (nouveau ou à réviser) et des exercices. Il y aura un peu de devoirs chaque semaine.

Le cours est axé sur la pratique orale à travers des réflexions, des discussions, des débats : tout pour maîtriser l'art de la conversation en français !  La grammaire est intégrée dans le cours au besoin.

Dans ce cours, développez votre capacité à communiquer sur une vaste gamme de sujets, incluant votre capacité à traiter des sujets inconnus.

The TCF Canada consists of four mandatory parts. It evaluates general French language proficiency in listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking and writing.

• 39 multiple choice questions for listening comprehension - 35 minutes; 
• 39 multiple choice questions for the reading comprehension with only one correct answer possible  - 60 minutes;
• 3 speaking tasks, organized according to a progressively increasing level of difficulty - 30 minutes (12 minutes effective interaction);

Le cours "Supérieur / Proficient" vous propose de perfectionner vos compétences linguistiques à partir de documents et thématiques variés (actualités, cinéma, musique, politique, littérature...).

Le cours est axé sur la pratique orale à travers des réflexions, des discussions, des débats : tout pour maîtriser l'art de la conversation en français !  La grammaire est intégrée dans le cours au besoin.

Dans ce cours, développez votre capacité à communiquer sur une vaste gamme de sujets, incluant votre capacité à traiter des sujets inconnus.

Every week, we encourage you to talk on different subjects to practice your spoken skills.

Each week, you will have a document (a text, a video...) to read/watch at home to get you prepared to the conversation. The class is designed for everyone who wants to learn to communicate in everyday situations with commonly-used expressions. It aims to help students acquire knowledge about the French language vocabulary functioning.

Whether you are 25 or 65 years old, a new member or a long-time San Franciscan, join this class to expand your French skills and understanding!

During each class, you will start with "Quoi de neuf?", a great time to connect with other students and talk in French.
You will then read short texts from a variety of important French literary authors and well-known writers from the francophone world. You will be introduced to the rich literary tradition of France such as Guy de Maupassant, Alphonse Daudet, Emile Zola, André Theuriet and more.
Studying a variety of texts will give you an opportunity to improve your grammar and learn new vocabulary and language structures. By the time you reach the end of this session you will be pleased to find that your reading skills have greatly improved. This class will provide you opportunity for expression through general classroom and small-group discussions and oral reports.

Bonjour French Films est une classe qui touche toutes les facettes du cinéma pour en faire découvrir la richesse. 

Les étudiants sont amenés à découvrir une nouvelle manière d'apprécier les courts métrages et bandes-annonces, les extraits,  les affiches, les acteurs et pour terminer, le synopsis d'un film qui seront support d’echanges et de discussions. Une façon ludique de continuer à progresser en français et de decouvrir la francophonie.
