Rémy Tossut
I was born and raised in a small town called Liège, located in east Belgium. Not far from the Dutch border, this city lives to the beat of
Mediterranean culture due to Italian immigration, which my four grandparents belonged to. I studied elementary education and began my career
in Belgium.
For 10 years, I taught in my childhood school where I developed a real taste for educational and cultural discovery and for the personal connections formed through my work. I then went on to teach two years in Kinshasa, Congo, over the course of which I confirmed my desire to pursue exploring the world. I continued my journey for another two years teaching at an international school in Beirut, Lebanon and then moved to San Francisco to teach in a francophone school in Oakland for three years. Throughout my journey, I met exceptional people and expanded my desire to share and learn from different cultures and values.
