Patricia Presse
Patricia is a certified French school teacher with extensive experience teaching French to learners of all ages, from young children to university students and adults. She has taught at Fresno State, Middlebury summer programs, and the U.S. Foreign Service Institute in Washington, D.C., as well as internationally in Hong Kong, Qatar, French Guiana, Ireland, and the United States.
A native Parisian with family roots in French Guiana and the Amazon rainforest, Patricia brings a rich multicultural perspective to her teaching. She also speaks Spanish and has worked as a translator and interpreter in Washington, D.C.
Her classes are lively, eclectic, and supportive, drawing on subjects ranging from travel, gastronomy, and the arts to politics, social sciences, and literature.
An epicurean, avid traveler, and passionate sailor, Patricia loves opera, theater, symphonies, and live music. She believes one lifetime is hardly enough to explore the world, encounter different cultures, and learn from the people who make each place unique.
