Hugo Laurent
Hugo was born in Tours, which is a city in the center of France known for its neutral French accent, and passed a master degree in FLE (French as a foreign language) in 2010. He passed another master degree on ICT (Information and communication technologies) in 2012 while working at the Institut de Touraine in his hometown which is a reputable French teaching institute for foreigners.He worked as a French teacher at the French embassy in Amsterdam for a year and then decided to move to San Francisco. He then worked at the Alliances Françaises of San Francisco, Berkeley and Napa Valley.In 2018, he worked at Archer School for girls in Los Angeles during a year, and finally came back to the Bay Area to work at Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda until 2023.Because he is so passionate to transmit his culture and language, Hugo decided to teach to adults again, and after launching his own company for immersion programs in France he decided to come back to the Alliance of San Francisco in order to just share his passion of teaching French.Hugo is a patient teacher and always happy to share his culture and language. He studied in Europe and is very aware of the CECR and methods used in class. His goal is to adapt to the way you are learning, and will always try to find interesting activities for your learning pleasure!
