ONLINE Classes For Adults


Our courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which is a guideline that describes the level of fluency achieved by a foreign language learner.

All our classes will be held online for the full duration of the sessions: from April 27 to June 20, 2020,  and  from June 22 to August 22, 2020.

Before enrolling, we invite you to take a placement test to make sure we find the right class for you.   Don't be afraid! It will take you only a few minutes to complete and it's the best way to find the class that fits your language needs.

How to enroll in a group class? 

  1. Take the placement test if you have some background in French

  2. Select the course of your choice and add it to your cart, by choosing among the lists "Group courses" and "Workshops" or by going directly to the "Registration" section below.

  3. Don't forget the books if needed. During the shelter-in-place order, books can be purchased online and delivered to your place. You can also pick-up your books (Contact us to schedule it) You may choose the electronic version instead when available.  You can now choose between paper copy and digital copy  for the books Saison 1, Saison 2, Saison 3, and Saison 4.

    • For paper copy, regular and express shipping are available, as well as pick-up at the AFSF.
    • To download the digital copy, you will receive a code by email. Please allow 1 to 3 business days to process your order. No shipping is needed in this case.

  4. Register for your class online.

    • When you enroll for your course, remove the items you don't want when you check out.

    • If you missed the first week, no worries! The course price will be automatically prorated for 7 classes when you check out after June 27.

  5. You will receive your receipt by email. 

  6. Enjoy learning French! 

Bonus!

Students enrolled in classes for one session or more receive a complimentary basic annual individual membership through the Alliance Française de San Francisco. As a student of the AFSF, you can have access to the French online library Culturethèque.
Once you have created your account on Culturethèque, your access is limited to 48h.  Please contact the AFSF at afsf@afsf.com to extend your free access to a year if it not yet done.

LEVEL A1 / A2 / B1 - French Pronunciation
