Our courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which is a guideline that describes the
level of fluency achieved by a foreign language learner.

Some background knowledge of French?
Before enrolling, we invite you to take a placement test to make sure we find the right class for you. Don't be afraid! It will take you only a few minutes to complete and it's the best way to find the class that fits your language needs.
How to register?

Take the placement test if you have some background in French

Select the course(s) or workshop(s) of your choice and add it to your cart, by going to the "Registration" section below.

Don't forget the books if needed. During the shelter-in-place order, books can be purchased online and delivered to your place (+ shipping fees).

Register for your class online.

You will receive your receipt by email.

Bonus!
Students enrolled in classes for one session or more receive a complimentary basic annual individual
membership through the
Alliance Française de San Francisco. As a student of the AFSF, you
will receive discounts for some activities and you can have access to the French online library Culturethèque.
Once you have created your account on Culturethèque, your access is limited to 48h. Please contact the AFSF at afsf@afsf.com to extend
your free access to a year if it not yet done.

Workshops
If you prefer activities "à la carte", we also have many workshops available and for all levels.
There are nearly 100 workshops available until June 2021, take a look at them!
