Welcome in the Intermediate - Level 1 course!
Now that you have reached the level A1 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), let's go into the French language in depth. In this intermediate level, you will talk about the French language (definitions, idioms) and Francophonie. You will also develop vocabulary about social and professional networks, hobbies and careers, and skills and flaws. You will be able to advise as well as to ask for advice. You will also review present, imperative mode, imperfect, and passé composé. Pronoms relatifs and pronoms directs will be explained to you.
In this course, you will cover Unit 0 to Unit 2 of the textbook, pp.12 to 57

Topic of the month: Alfred Jarry (1873 –1907) Ubu Roi
Objectifs: à travers un choix de scènes– auteurs classiques et contemporains – un survol de la diversité du théâtre français. Chaque atelier portera sur un auteur différent, avec une rapide mise en perspective historique et culturelle au début.
Puis, chaque scéance commencera par des jeux de prononciation, diction, souffle et expression.
On pourra travailler la lecture en groupe et/ou par paires ou plus en fonction du nombre de personnages dans la scène et du nombre de
participants.
Les textes seront transmis électroniquement à l’avance.
Au total, 6 ateliers de 2 heures sont proposés les samedis après-midis entre janvier et juin 2021.
