Objectives

4. The silent "e" and the silent consonants

What do “combs,” “muscles,” and “castles” all have in common? Give up?

Each of those words has silent letters in English.

Have you ever noticed how many letters are silent in French? There is one in almost every word, which makes it very difficult to know how to enunciate words! Always wondered why, or how to know when to pronounce them or not? By the end of this lesson on silent letters in French, you will never need to ask this question again.

Workshop offered especially for students at a beginner or intermediate level, but all students are welcome to attend.
