Capucine Rullière-Beitler
I was born and raised in a rural town of Burgundy, France, and moved to Paris when I was 18 to study literature and foreign languages. I am currently a PhD candidate studying Californian literature and history. I have taught French at the university of Berkeley and at UCLA for the past three years before relocating to San Francisco recently. I love using art, literature, films and music in the classroom, and I believe that an important part of learning French involves exploring Francophone culture at large. I know how vulnerable students can feel when they start speaking and thinking in a foreign language. I always make sure to create a stress-free environment where we are all comfortable talking, making mistakes and learning together!
