Ian Barrera

Ian is excited to start teaching at the Alliance after years of going there as part of San Francisco’s French community. He combines native knowledge of French language and culture with a global perspective to help students understand not just the language but also the culture. Having completed his education through the end of high school in French schools outside of France, he knows what it’s like learning French from the other side of the planet. It’s why he aims to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and having fun while using and improving their French. I look forward to sharing my love of learning and language with you!
