We’re celebrating the 100th anniversary of Pétanque, a well-loved sport in France similar to bocce ball. Along with Pétanque America and a local chapter of enthusiasts, La boule d’or, we will learn how to play this easy game and hear a bit about its history. Perfect for families!

Directions from the north:
- After the GG bridge, stay on right side to turn onto 19th Avenue
- Turn right on Fulton just before Golden Gate Park
- Turn left on 36th Avenue into the Park
- Take next right (before restrooms) down the road, on the left, next to the dog-training field.
Directions from the south:
- Take Hwy 280 (if on 101 take 380 to 280) stay on left side, take 19th Avenue direction Golden Gate Bridge.
- Stay on 19th Avenue into Golden Gate Park
- Stay in the left lane and take 25th Avenue turn off
- Cross Fulton (no left turn)
- Turn left on Balboa and left on 36th again
- Cross Fulton into the park
- Turn right on next road (before restrooms)
- Find the court down the road on the left, (next to the dog- training field)
