I immediately felt at ease in Stephen's class, despite having taken an extended break from the French language prior to taking his class. Stephen is a teacher in the true sense of the word. He clearly cares about his students, and encourages them to come out of their shells. His animation and enthusiasm never diminish during the course of each class, even when students come unprepared, or the class' energy lags, as inevitably happens on occasion. He uses humor and theatrical body language to engage students and help them understand the nuances of French language and culture. I hope to take another class with Stephen as soon as possible.

I've taken classes at Alliance Francaise for a couple of years, starting at Niveau 2 and it's been fantastic. I also highly recommend Houcine -- he's a great teacher too.
